Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. This role is crucial for overseeing daily production and maintenance activities, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and high-quality output. You will lead a team of operators and technicians and implement continuous improvement practices to meet production goals and optimize machine performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership
- Directly supervise, train, and mentor a team of production operators, ensuring all team members adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain a positive work environment focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production goals, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Production Management
- Plan and monitor daily production schedules to meet operational targets and optimize resource utilization.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and ensure production targets are met efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Operations Director to establish priorities and allocate resources as needed.
Maintenance Oversight
- Oversee routine maintenance of equipment, machinery, and production facilities to ensure smooth and safe operations.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance technicians for timely repairs.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and internal standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and work closely with the Operations Director to develop and implement improvement initiatives.
- Support and promote lean manufacturing practices, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.
- Investigate and resolve production issues and bottlenecks, utilizing root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies across the production and maintenance teams.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure all team members are trained in safe working practices.
- Report and document any safety incidents or violations and collaborate with relevant departments to develop preventive measures.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production and maintenance supervisory role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong technical understanding of production machinery, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with production planning software and maintenance management systems.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams, with excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams toward shared goals and maintain a productive, safety-conscious work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, to support production and maintenance needs.
